Do you want to create a machine-embroidered Labubu doll but don't know how? This blog will guide you through the entire process so you can create your very own Labubu doll which is perfect for a bag charm or a key fob!
Materials Needed:
- Embroidery Machine & Hoop
- Embroidery Threads
- Stabilizer (medium cut-away)
- Fabric for Labubu's Body (non-fraying, e.g., felt, vinyl)
- Fabric for Labubu's Hat (non-fraying)
- Backing Fabric (sturdy, e.g., felt, marine vinyl, faux leather)
- Ribbon (approx. 4-6 inches, 1/4" to 1/2" wide)
- Sharp Scissors
- Temporary Adhesive Spray or Fabric Glue Stick (Optional)
- Our Labubu doll Embroidery Design (with appliqué stops, fringe section, and ribbon placement). Link: https://falconembroidery.com/plushie-furry-animal-doll
Project Steps:
- Hoop stabilizer and then appliqué Labubu's body by stitching a placement line, placing fabric, stitching a tack-down line, and trimming.
- Repeat the appliqué process for Labubu's hat.
- Embroider all the remaining details like facial features and outlines.
- Cut the fringe portion of the design before the final outline stitches.
- Tape a folded ribbon loop onto the design's back, ensuring the raw ends are positioned to be sewn into the final seam.
- Place backing fabric on the back of the hoop and stitch the final outline to secure everything together.
- Finally, remove excess stabilizer and trim the charm to its finished shape.
Congratulations! You've just created an adorable machine-embroidered Labubu doll bag charm or key fob. Attach it to your keys, backpack, or purse and show off your unique creation!
