Q1: Should I pre-wash my fabric?
Yes, dear! While embroidery thread won't shrink, natural fabrics like cotton and linen will. Pre-washing prevents the fabric from pulling at the stitches later, keeping your embroidered item looking its best. This is important for any project using this design.
Q2: Can I resize the designs?
We recommend not resizing the pattern by more than 10%. Altering the size significantly can change the stitch density and ruin the final quality of the embroidery.
Q3: Which embroidery file formats are included?
All downloads come in a ZIP file containing: DST, PES, JEF, HUS, VP3, EXP, XXX, ART, and more. These are compatible with Brother, Janome, Bernina, and most other machines, so you can stitch this design on yours.
Q4: Can I iron the embroidery?
Yes, but always iron from the reverse side. We recommend using a pressing cloth to protect the threads from direct high heat, ensuring your embroidered item stays looking good for a long time.
Q5: How do I get the file onto my machine?
Download the ZIP folder to your computer, unzip or extract the files, and copy the specific format your machine requires onto a USB stick to transfer the design.
